MEMBERSHIP VALUES AND CODE OF ETHICS

The Crisis Residential Association is committed to ethical practices and take the conduct of its members seriously. CRA members agree as a condition of membership to adhere to the Association’s Values and Code of Ethics. Any violation of these standards can result in a written warning, member suspension or member termination. Member penalties for violations will be determined by a majority vote by the Board of Directors.

VALUES

Fundamental to all of the Crisis Residential Association’s work are the following values:

*We believe that all individuals should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of any behavioral health or crisis symptoms they may be experiencing.
*We believe that all individuals, regardless of gender, race, national origin, age, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, education, disability, veteran status, or other dimension of diversity, should have access to quality crisis services, as well as equal opportunity to work in crisis services, and feel respected and valued.
*We believe that Crisis Residential Programs are just as important in the behavioral health continuum of crisis services as any other crisis service and should always be included in crisis services discussions.
*We believe that all staff, board members, volunteers, and members should act with honesty, transparency, and integrity in all their dealings as representatives of the organization.
*We believe that all crisis programs should operate with a commitment to serve to their communities with excellence and high standards.
*We believe that in order to serve with excellence, we must continually strive for improvement and gaining knowledge.

CODE OF ETHICS

*To maintain the highest standards of competence and professional practice in the field of Crisis Behavioral Health work.
*To be committed to the advancement of Crisis Residential Programs worldwide.
*To support and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across all crisis residential programs.
*To refrain from conduct that would be averse to the interest and purpose of the CRA.
*To show integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in our work; courage in our decisions; and dedication to CRA’s values & beliefs.
